We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Sheralyn Sefton, who will be joining Brighton College Vietnam for the 2024-2025 academic year as the Deputy Head of Prep (Academic). Ms. Sefton brings a wealth of international experience, having previously taught in the UK, South Korea, Brazil, Germany, and now Vietnam.
A key aspect of Ms. Sefton’s approach is strengthening the home-school partnership. As a tech-savvy educator, she plans to leverage the latest educational technology to benefit both pupils and parents at Brighton College Vietnam – whether this is through fostering interactive engagement on the school’s Virtual Learning Environment and providing accessible digital resources for home use.
With nearly 20 years in the education sector, Ms. Sefton has held various leadership positions. She has spearheaded curriculum development, overseen the Early Years Foundation Stage, managed year group teachers, and most recently served as the Head of Early Years at St George’s British International School. Her primary passion, however, lies in curriculum development and academic support for her colleagues.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Sefton is a thrill-seeker who enjoys adventurous activities like bungee jumping, skydiving, mountain abseiling, and scuba diving. She humorously noted, “While I definitely won’t be asking the children to do any of these things, I will be encouraging them to ‘have a go’ and take small risks with their learning.”
Please join us in welcoming Ms. Sheralyn Sefton to Brighton College Vietnam!
