Pupils at Brighton College Vietnam came together to observe Remembrance Day. Since 1918, when the guns of the First World War fell silent, this day has served as a powerful reminder that the freedoms and rights we enjoy today were made possible by the sacrifices of those who stood to defend them. Let us honour our freedom to learn, to express ourselves, to live as we choose, and to love – values that lie at the heart of our school.
As we wear the red poppy on our chest, stand in silence, or sing Amazing Grace together, we remember the past, honour the present, and commit to building a peaceful future.
Remember those who shaped history – the heroes who sacrificed so we might live in peace today.
Appreciate the silence – seek moments of quiet throughout the day, and listen to the peace around us, a tranquillity safeguarded by the sacrifices of so many.
Think of those who still live without peace – while we stand safely here, conflicts continue in many parts of the world; may we cherish and protect the peace we hold.
