“Education is never just about learning facts; it’s about training the mind and thinking about the future. A goal without a plan is just a wish. While you don’t need to know what you want to do for the rest of your life today, having some direction is essential,” shared Ms Sasha Goodwin, a lecturer from the British University Vietnam (BUV), setting an inspiring tone for a meaningful session with our Year 10 and 11 pupils and their parents yesterday.
During the session, pupils received valuable guidance on selecting IBDP subjects that align with their aspirations and career goals. Insights into fields such as STEM, Humanities, Arts, Business, Law, and Medicine helped them better understand the academic and professional pathways they may wish to pursue. Our tech-savvy pupils also had the opportunity to delve into the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a learning companion through a dynamic discussion led by Mr Fraser Harrison (BUV Lecturer) and Mr Akram Choudhury (Head of Maths, Brighton College Vietnam).
We extend our sincere thanks to the lecturers from BUV for inspiring our pupils and helping them connect today’s decisions with future careers. Through collaborative initiatives, from specialised workshops to career-oriented discussions, we continue to provide our pupils with the tools and support they need to make informed decisions and confidently pursue their dreams.
