“To be an entrepreneur is to take risks and seize opportunities for greater good. Life, much like entrepreneurship, is not always a straight line – it has its ups and downs, and this subject teaches us how to navigate through those challenges.” – Maguire (Year 7)
Brighton College Vietnam recently welcomed parents and pupils to an inspiring Business & Enterprise Day. The day provided a comprehensive overview of the Business and Entrepreneurship curriculum, tailored specifically for pupils from Year 7 and above. Teachers shared detailed insights into the programme, showcasing practical projects for pupils in Years 7 to 9 and the IGCSE pathway for Years 10 and 11. Through this curriculum, pupils gain essential skills in technology, finance, marketing, and human resource management, while also deepening their understanding of economic policies and international trade.
Pupils confidently took to the stage to share their passion for the subject, their experiences overcoming challenges, the key decisions they made, and the valuable lessons they learned from real-world business projects at school. Each project showcased the pupils’ creativity and problem-solving skills, while also highlighting their sense of responsibility, perseverance, and teamwork in achieving shared goals. These impactful experiences have not only helped them grow and build confidence but have also prepared them to pursue ambitious dreams for the future.
A standout moment of the workshop was a heartfelt sharing by a parent entrepreneur in bioplastics and sustainable products. She reflected on the meaningful journey of supporting children in exploring this practical and inspiring subject.
Brighton College Vietnam extends its heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and above all, our pupils, for fostering a love of learning and embracing new challenges with courage and enthusiasm.
