Our Year 10 pupils had an exciting lab experience with an anatomy project to gain a deeper understanding of the kidney and its blood filtration functions. Under the guidance of the biology teacher, they carefully dissected and examined real pork kidney specimens, getting a close-up look at this vital organ.
Wrapping up the lesson was a quick quiz that helped reinforce and link their new knowledge. Through this practical experience, the pupils not only had the opportunity to apply the theory they have learned to gain a deeper understanding of the complex biological systems and the human body – they also honed other important skills like dissection techniques, observation, and practical scientific analysis.
