At Brighton College Vietnam, the world becomes our classroom, ensuring that the learning journey is never interrupted and extends far beyond the traditional confines of school walls. Our residential trips are thrilling opportunities to dive into nature, soak up diverse cultures, master survival skills, fortify our minds and bodies, and, most importantly, infuse learning with excitement and fun!
From Mai Chau, Sa Pa to Cat Ba, our Senior pupils had the incredible opportunity to hone their life skills and broaden their knowledge of regional cultures through a range of dynamic activities. Year 7 to Year 10 learners eagerly packed their bags and set off with their peers and teachers to explore new horizons bursting with surprises and exhilaration.
Year 9 and Year 10 pupils conquered new personal summits in Sa Pa
The journey to Sa Pa helped our Year 9 and Year 10 learners reach new personal heights while mastering essential survival skills. Our pupils pushed their boundaries by not only conquering the 600 steps leading to the summit of Fansipan, the highest peak in Vietnam, but also trekking through the expansive Sa Pa valleys, where endless terraced rice fields painted the landscape. Equally impressive was their mastery of shelter building, as they learned to fashion livable structures from simple sticks, tarps, and rope, demonstrating resilience in emergency scenarios. Finally, our pupils showcased their culinary skills, using locally sourced ingredients to whip up nourishing meals and foster a deeper appreciation for self-sustainability. What a wonderful week of personal triumphs and new experiences!
Year 8 went on an adventure full of boats, beaches, and the brilliant Brighton spirit in Cat Ba
From kayaking through serene waters to learning to safely scale rock faces, and from constructing sturdy rafts to participating in beach cleanup activities, Year 8 pupils embarked on an unforgettable journey during their residential trip to Cat Ba. Amidst breathtaking landscapes, they not only honed important life skills but also gained valuable insights into environmental conservation.
Year 7 pupils ventured to Mai Chau on a quest to unveil traditional beauty and customs
Our Year 7 pupils explored the rich culture of Mai Chau on their residential trip, where each day brought new adventures. They immersed themselves in local traditions like fabric weaving, and participated in bonding activities while diving deeper into the region’s agricultural practices and ancient customs, preserved for hundreds of years.
