University Connections: An Inspiring Masterclass on Culture and Business with a Professor from Hult International Business School

As part of our Higher Education afternoon alongside the BMI University Fair, Year 12 IB Business and Management pupils joined an exclusive masterclass led by Professor Calle Torén from the world-renowned Hult International Business School – featuring among the top 100 full-time MBA programmes worldwide according to the Financial Times.

Centred around the fascinating concept of “Culture Cartography”, the session challenged pupils to explore how cultural differences shape global business landscapes – and more importantly, to think beyond borders. From adaptability to cross-cultural awareness, the discussion sparked exactly the kind of big-picture thinking that defines tomorrow’s global leaders.

Perfectly aligned with the IB Business Management curriculum, the masterclass deepened pupils’ understanding of academic concepts through real-world context – giving them a rare chance to engage with higher-level thinking under the guidance of a leading university professor.
