Year 9 pupils explore business ethics through CSR

As part of their Business curriculum, our Year 9 pupils have been delving into the world of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), exploring how major companies are tackling ethical issues within their global supply chains.

Pupils researched real-world case studies involving major businesses including those in the UK, examining how these companies address sustainability, ethical sourcing, and social responsibility. From fashion retailers to food producers, pupils explored a wide range of industries and analysed the steps being taken to create positive environmental and social impact.

“We were impressed by the maturity, creativity and insight shown by our Year 9 pupils. Their ability to engage with such an important topic and offer constructive ideas reflects both their hard work and potential as future leaders in business and beyond,” Ms. Emily Gibbons, Teacher of Business said.

The project not only provided valuable insight into current global business practices but also gave pupils the opportunity to build essential skills, including independent research, critical thinking, teamwork, and confident communication.
