Year 1 pupils explore world of animals at nature museum

It was a day of discovery and excitement for our Year 1 pupils as they ventured beyond the classroom to the Vietnam National Museum of Nature for an unforgettable educational trip. Our pupils delved into the fascinating world of animals, bringing their science curriculum to life.

The visit was planned to complement their Science curriculum which has been focused on Animals Including Humans, and gave pupils the opportunity to see many of the creatures they’ve been learning about up close. These activities are crucial to develop important skills including observation, comparison, and classification, Mrs. Anna Wilkins, Teacher of Year 1 said.

Pupils explored a wide range of animal exhibits, observing different species and identifying key characteristics that define each animal group. One of the favourite activities during the trip was a hands-on craft project, where pupils created their own animal-themed craftwork.
