The Power of Pioneering Women in Education

It was a great honour for Brighton College Vietnam to host the most recent Women in Education Vietnam (WEV) Conference, “The Power of Pioneering Women”, alongside British International School HCMC. The conference brought together educators and professionals from across Vietnam and beyond for a meaningful day of dialogue, reflection and action. It created a space where women’s voices, experiences and leadership journeys could be shared openly and celebrated with confidence.

Through seminars, collaborative discussions and interactive workshops, the programme encouraged both professional learning and authentic connection. Sessions explored themes including support for neurodivergent educators, women’s progress in leadership, the leadership paradox and identity through creative expression, all with a shared focus on breaking barriers and building more inclusive educational environments. A particular highlight was the panel discussion, “The Power of Breaking Barriers: The Power of Pioneering Women”, where inspiring female leaders shared honest reflections on resilience, courage and the importance of championing others.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. The WEV Conference 2026 was far more than a professional gathering; it was a celebration of courage, innovation and collective action, reminding us all of the transformative power of pioneering women in education,” reflected Mrs Sam Bagshaw, Head of Prep School.
