Our pupils brought the Robotics Competition to a close on Wednesday with impressive performances across three challenges: 3-metre dash, reverse parking and obstacle course.
In the final leg of the competition, the atmosphere became energetic, and at times tense, as the pupils concentrated intensely, guiding their team’s robot through the obstacles.
“We managed to test and trial with our robot many times and find the best code for it. Our performance went very well. I think the key to success is good teamwork,” said one pupil.
In the first challenge, teams had to make sure their robots travel exactly 3 metres forward in a straight line without hitting any obstacles. Each team was then given two attempts to guide their robot forward and then reverse behind a marked line. The final challenge tested problem-solving, quick thinking, and resilience, as robots navigated a winding obstacle course.
The Robotics Competition has not only been a celebration of creativity and technical skills but also a clear showcase of the power of teamwork among our pupils.
