Our pupils delved into conveying messages about the environment through the lens of art. The interdisciplinary approach combined scientific inquiry with creative expression, making their learning experience both meaningful and inspiring.

With the insights about environmental science, our pupils crafted compelling slogans and messages to raise awareness about plastic pollution. Their creativity was further enhanced through Lino printing, a hands-on technique where they carved designs into rubber stamps, creating layered prints that brought their messages to life.

“To deepen their understanding and inspire action, we integrate artistic expression with scientific inquiry,” said Mr. Michael Cooper, Head of Art.

A Year 8 pupil highlighted the power of creativity in driving change: “Art is a wonderful way to share messages about sustainability because everyone expresses themselves differently. It’s engaging, inclusive, and allows everyone to contribute in their own way.”
