EAL at Brighton College Vietnam: Helping Pupils Thrive in an International Environment
It is natural for parents to wonder: “If my child needs extra English support, will they fall behind?”
At Brighton College Vietnam, we believe language learning should never feel like a barrier to a child’s confidence, curiosity, or progress. Our English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme is carefully integrated into the school day and available as part of the Brighton College Vietnam educational experience for pupils who may benefit from additional English language support, ensuring they are supported within their learning journey, not separated from it. Whether through in-class support, small-group intervention, or personalised guidance, our EAL specialists work closely alongside subject teachers to ensure every pupil can access the curriculum with confidence.
Every child acquires language differently. Some flourish quickly through conversation, while others need more structured academic support. What matters most is that they feel encouraged, understood, and empowered at every stage. That is why our EAL provision is tailored to each child’s individual needs, helping them continue to thrive both academically and personally while preparing for international pathways and examinations in the future.
Most importantly, this support is embedded as part of the Brighton College Vietnam educational experience, allowing pupils to receive the guidance they need naturally within their school journey.
Because learning a language is not about keeping up, It is about building the confidence to belong, express, and succed.
