From high-energy performances to delicate solos, the Prep School Concert 2025, themed ‘Colours’, was a feast for the ears, showcasing musical passion, talent, and the growing confidence of our pupils. Audiences were treated to an exciting variety of pieces: choir, orchestra, piano and violin performances from Year 1 to Year 6 pupils.
“We practised for weeks ahead of the performance. I really enjoyed it because I was performing with a lot of people. I didn’t feel shy, even in front of a big audience,” said a Year 5 pupil.
The concert was also a testament to the remarkable progress pupils have made, not only musically but also in their confidence.
“I’ve seen huge development in the pupils’ confidence, and that growth is clearly reflected in the type of songs we now choose,” said Mr. Canice Gleeson, Director of Music. “Some of the pieces were quite challenging, not just musically, but especially in terms of language. I was genuinely impressed with how far they’ve progressed. It’s been amazing to watch.”
One parent said: “It was like a ‘wow’ impression. Everything was so well organised and precise, it was amazing. It wasn’t just their musical skill, it was their stage presence and the way they connected with the audience.”
A truly dazzling concert with lots of moments to remember for pupils, teachers and parents
