Congratulations Brightonians! We’re proud to celebrate our Prep School pupils for their thoughtful and well-earned achievements at the 2025 International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest (IKMC) – a respected global competition that fosters mathematical thinking and a love of learning.

We’re incredibly proud of our six medal-winning pupils:

🏆Thai Son, Year 3, won National Champion and the Longest Jump Award
🥇Anh Tu, Year 3 and Vu Thanh, Year 5 won the Distinction Medal
🥈Nam Khanh and Nhat Nam, both Year 5, won the Top 15% Medal

The IKMC (also known as the International Mathematical Kangaroo, or Kangourou sans frontières in French) is a long-standing mathematics competition held across 92 countries, with twelve levels of participation ranging from Year 1 to Year 12.

In Vietnam, the contest has attracted more than 230,000 participants from around 1,000 schools across the country.

Well done to our talented pupils for shining in the international contest!
