A Magical School Overnight Camp for Year 2 pupils
A little bag packed with the essentials, and a whole lot of excitement – that was all our Year 2 pupils needed for a magical overnight camp at school.
With their teachers leading the way, the children experienced a perfectly paced day of adventure. Dynamic activities like tent-pitching, football, and dancing were seamlessly paired with mindful moments of yoga, coloring, and dreamcatcher making. As day turned to night, the excitement peaked with a collaborative “treasure hunt” that allowed them to explore the school in a whole new light. The unforgettable experience concluded beneath the stars, where the children learned about the constellations, huddled by the campfire to sing together, and enjoyed sweet, gooey roasted marshmallows.
“Experiences such as our Year 2 Campout are so important in helping children develop confidence, independence, resilience and strong friendships in a safe and supportive environment. What a fantastic adventure – and now… Year 3 residential, here we come!” shared Mrs Sam Bagshaw, Head of Prep School.
