A Journey of Growth through International Competition
“Although the results may not have been exactly what we hoped fore, the experience we gained both on and off the pitch was incredibly valuable. We learned so many new things about football through this tournament – from the pitch and the rules to how the game is managed,” shared Duc Minh, Year 10, reflecting on the U15 FOBISIA Football Tournament – an exciting opportunity to test themselves against talented players from international schools across the region.
For Minh, the journey to Bangkok was about far more than the matches themselves. It was a chance to learn, adapt and grow through every moment on the pitch.
Henry, Year 9, also looked back on the experience fondly: “We made a lot of new friends from other international schools in the region, and overall it was a really great experience.” Beyond new lessons in football, the team returned home with new friendships, lasting memories and the joy of competing alongside peers from across the region.
For many of the boys, this was their first tournament on such a large stage. From adjusting to new playing conditions to handling the pressure of competitive matches, they met every challenge with resilience, teamwork and determination. Most importantly, they represented Brighton College Vietnam with pride, confidence and excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
We are incredibly proud of our 2026 U15 FOBISIA Football Team for the way they competed, supported one another and embraced every moment of the experience. Because beyond the results, what they brought home from Bangkok was something even more meaningful: growth, character and memories that will stay with them for years to come.
