Into the Wild: A Duke of Edinburgh Silver Journey
Under the leadership of Mr Hung, our Year 12 pupils took part in Brighton College Vietnam’s very first Duke of Edinburgh Silver expedition in March – a memorable journey of adventure, resilience and discovery.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Ha Long Bay, the trip gave pupils the chance to build teamwork, leadership and independence through trekking, camp-craft, navigation and kayaking. Each day brought new challenges, and pupils embraced them with growing confidence and determination.
A key highlight was the sea kayaking expedition, where pupils relied on trust, communication and resilience as they responded to the changing conditions of open water. Through every part of the experience, they strengthened their team spirit and developed a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Congratulations to our pupils on completing this memorable journey with such resilience, teamwork and determination.
