Global Learning, Local Impact at Brighton College Vietnam

We are proud to share that Miss Odell attended the IB Global Conference in Mumbai last week — a reflection of our strong commitment to delivering an exceptional International Baccalaureate education, where thinkers excel, and change-makers flourish.

Bringing together over 1,000 IB educators from 42 countries, the conference offered a valuable platform to collaborate with leading international practitioners, exchange best practices, and explore the latest developments in IB teaching and learning. This global engagement ensures our programme remains innovative, forward-thinking, and aligned with the highest international standards.

Throughout the conference, Miss Odell took part in specialist sessions covering key areas that directly benefit our pupils — including the use of AI in education, Programme Development and Evaluation, approaches to assessment, and strengthening Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills. She also had the opportunity to hear from leading voices within the IB community, including Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General of the International Baccalaureate (IB).

Over the coming weeks, Miss Odell will be working closely with colleagues across the school to embed these insights into our teaching and curriculum design — ensuring that this professional learning translates into meaningful impact in the classroom.

We are already looking forward with excitement to attending next year’s IB Global Conference in Bangkok.
