Preparing young people for global opportunities | Distinguished lecture #2

Brighton College Vietnam was delighted to welcome Hien Dao, Co-founder and Chairwoman of Golden Path Academics, as the speaker for our Distinguished Lecture. Drawing on her wide-ranging experience, Ms Hien offered thoughtful insights into global pathways, alongside practical guidance to help our pupils navigate opportunities with clarity and confidence.
At the heart of her message was the belief that preparation for the future extends beyond academic results. Pupils were encouraged to gain clarity about who they are becoming, to explore widely before specialising, and to ask better questions in order to think critically and make informed choices. She also highlighted the importance of taking initiative, learning through action, and building confidence through consistent effort. The session concluded with a strong focus on reflection and resilience, reminding pupils that learning from feedback and setbacks is essential for sustained growth.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms Hien Dao for her inspiring insights, which resonated deeply with our community and reflected Brighton College Vietnam’s commitment to nurturing curiosity, kindness and confidence as pupils navigate future opportunities with clarity and assurance.
