What is Pre-Prep, Prep, and Senior School?
Pre-Preparatory (or Pre-Prep) school is for pupils from the ages of 5-7 (Year 1-2).
Preparatory (Prep) school caters for 7-11 year olds (Years 3-6).
At 11 years old (Year 7), pupils enter Senior school where they will remain until they complete their Sixth Form education (Years 12-13).
What are key stages?
Key stages are the groups which have been established to chart progress and culminate in standardised assessments or exams during a child’s education in England and Wales. At the end of each key stage, teachers will formally assess the child's performance.
There are five key stages (KS): KS1: Years 1-2; KS2: Years 3-6; KS3: Years 7-9; KS4: Years 10-11; KS5: Years 12-13
What is the pupils' age range?
Brighton College Vietnam caters for pupils from Year 1 to Year 13 (5 -18 years old). In 2023-2024, however, the school will enrol pupils from Year 1 to Year 10 (5-15 years of age, born in 2009-2018 respectively) to ensure the quality of our school.
What is the average class size?
Given our commitment to personalise pupils’ learning experiences, we keep our class sizes small. The maximum number of pupils in each class is 24.
When should I apply for my child/children?
We accept pupils throughout the school year; however, we do recommend that applications be submitted as soon as possible to ensure there is a place for your child.
What curriculum do you offer?
Brighton College Vietnam mirrors the successful curriculum of Brighton College UK which combines a progressive, British education based on the English National Curriculum with unique additional subjects essential to the Brighton College approach, with nearly 200 years of proven success.
Are there co-curricular activities or clubs?
A wide range of co-curricular activities (CCAs) will be available to enable pupils to develop their interests and cultivate their passions beyond the classroom. These clubs and activities provide space for creativity, inspiration, challenge, growth and enjoyment. All pupils are encouraged to take part in this inclusive enrichment programme and contribute in their own unique and positive way.
Is there a bus service?
There is an optional bus service to pick up and drop off pupils, depending on the availability of bus routes. Please contact our admissions team for more information on bus routes and costs.
Is lunch available?
We provide healthy, delicious and balanced meals for our pupils. In addition, there is a school café which serves drinks, healthy snacks, and sandwiches during the day. Please note that school meals are not included in the tuition fees. Pupils will be able to top up their meal card during the year.
Is there a uniform policy?
All Brighton College pupils are required to wear a uniform. Each pupil will receive a full set of uniforms upon receipt of payment for the semester/annual tuition fees. Should a pupil wish to purchase additional items, they will be able to do so at the school Shop.
